LILIANA SANCHEZ

Co-Founder, Chief Political Scientist

Liliana’s experiences as an immigrant child from Argentina framed her 35 year career in community development working with disengaged communities, often taking an advocacy position for the disadvantaged.

Liliana has deep experience of working within communities developing long term, self-supporting projects within the constraints of limited resources. She has lectured in hard to reach areas on Development, Gender and Political Science.

Liliana has devoted her career to empowerment both in the Community Development arena and Community Education, creating innovative programmes for those outside formal learning environments, on the margins of society.

Her creation of bespoke Women’s programmes evolved from the development of intensive fieldwork, which became a ‘flagship’ for education initiatives funded by regional government.

Liliana’s life continues to be governed by her interests in sustainable development; diversity, gender and inequality and her travels within South East Asia.
